Welcome to (Provisional) Park: Let Us Borrow Your Plants and Build a Temporary Park in Bridgeport / by Edward Marszewski

Provisional) Park is a temporary indoor park that will be made entirely from houseplants on temporary loan from Chicagoans. Located inside Co-Prosperity Sphere, it will be free and open to the public from 6am-11pm March 6- April 3, 2015.

The existence of (Provisional) Park depends on the participation of community members. If you have a plant to lend for the duration of the project, please email provisionalpark@gmail.com to schedule a pick-up, or bring your plant(s) to Co-Prosperity Sphere during drop-off hours from 10AM-5PM on Sunday, March 1. Plants in the park are on temporary loan only. All plants will be returned to their respective owners in April following the closing of (Provisional) Park.

If you have an idea for an event you would like to organize at (Provisional) Park (possibly including, but certainly not limited to, workshops, cook-outs, games, or musical performances) or would like information on participating in the construction or operation of the park, please email provisionalpark@gmail.com with your availability.

(Provisional) Park is a creative project conceived by artist Allyson Packer and made possible through the participation of many individuals and organizations in Chicago. For more information, please visit http://provisionalpark.org.
